What to Expect

First Visit

During your first visit, you can expect happy staff, ready, willing and able to make your visit very pleasant.

When you arrive, there will be some brief paperwork to complete. Next, one our doctors will complete a physical examination, as well as x-rays taken in the office if indicated and medically necessary. Depending on the patient’s level of pain and discomfort, different treatments may be offered that day to help ease their pain.

The first visit will last approximately 1 hour.

Your Second Visit

A typical second visit to the office is designed for the doctor to discuss your history and examination findings with you. Feel free to ask any questions during this time as well.

You will typically receive your first adjustment and any needed therapies that have been prescribed before your visit .

A typical second visit can last up to 1.5 hours depending on the extent of treatment given that day. We highly encourage the patient to bring their spouse or significant other to the second visit so we may explain to them how to help. This is also necessary if another party is responsible for how the care will be paid for.

Regular Visits

Each time you walk in the door, you will find that our office has a lot of positive energy with happy staff and patients. We provide a very professional, but loving and fun atmosphere.

You will walk in the door, sign into the computer, complete an update on the computer of any changes in your condition from your previous visit and then proceed to the designated treatment room. The doctors usually run on time. If you find the doctor is running behind, it is because we have taken extra time with a patient in need. We will do the same for you if the need arises. Please have patience with us. Since, we are prompt…and we expect the patient to be prompt to their appointment times too.

The patient will then be greeted by the doctor, review their health history from the last visit, a brief examination will occur and a Chiropractic adjustment will most often be given. Some patients also receive therapy before or after the adjustment depending on the patient’s condition. Therapy may consist of soft tissue work like deep tissue massage, myofascial release, soft tissue mobilization, neck and back gentle traction, therapeutic ultrasound and electrical muscle stimulation. Other therapies during the rehabilitative phase of care consist of injured area specific strength exercises, as well as other rehabilitative techniques.

A typical routine adjustment visit lasts 10 minutes or much less. A typical visit with adjustments and therapy can last from 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on the level of care that is required. No two patients are treated identically in this office. Our treatment plans are tailored to the patient’s condition, needs and goals. We are truly a patient-centered office.
